2013 Colorado Rare Beer Tasting • 10/9/13

SOLD OUT ALREADY!

Come sample some freakishly exotic rare beer from your favorite Colorado breweries at the Rackhouse Pub’s 2013 Colorado Rare Beer Tasting. Miss out and you will never forgive yourself! One night only, at the Rackhouse Pub on October 9, 2013 from 6-9pm. Buy a ticket and receive unlimited samples (within reason), and a chance to try some rare beer! It’s a perfect companion festival to the Great American Beer Festival.

As we get more information on who will be participating this year, we’ll tweet it out (and update this page). Last year we had more than 20 breweries bring some incredibly rare stuff, we expect more of the same in 2013. Tickets for 2012 sold out weeks in advance, so secure your ticket now before they sell out!

If you know you already want to buy tickets to this unique beer event featuring the best breweries in Colorado…

So just checking: is the event date the 9th or the 10th? Seems to be referenced as both/either, and your years are all over the place…

    • Rackhouse Pub

Ben – our bad. We updated the event. It’s Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 6-9pm. Last year was on the 10th. Thanks for the comment, we owe you a pint.

Seriously, we’ll buy you a beer.

  • hoppiness

if you moved this to the 10th, you could get all the true beer geeks who got shut out of GABF tickets to attend.

    • Rackhouse Pub

We’re not trying to compete with GABF sessions. We love having a kickoff festival the day before! Happy you’ll be coming to celebrate with us.

      • hoppiness

I can’t be in Denver on Weds, I’m flying in from Portland. I don’t think you’d have to “compete” as there are literally thousands of beer geeks (AHA members, too) who didn’t get tickets to GABF.

        • Rackhouse Pub

Bummer! We’ll have a few events thursday and friday afternoon but are still working on details. It’s going to be a few Beer School sessions, taught by brewery employees & industry insiders.

  • Doug

Getting excited again…it’s seriously one of the best things I do every year. Really great beer and cool/interesting people. What more could you want?

  • http://microbusbrewery.org/ MicroBus Brewery

Just bought our tix and are looking forward to this! Never been before, but it sounds awesome. We’re flying in from Salt Lake City Wed morning, can’t wait for our Wed evening.

  • Holly

Hope you’ll do the beer education classes again.

    • Rackhouse Pub

Holly – definitely. We’re working on the Beer School schedule and will post about it when everything is solidified.

  • gwfrankpsu

How do I buy? Again how do I buy?

  • Jeff Wanner

@rackhousepub:disqus , any chance you guys will be releasing more tickets or have heard of any that cannot make it after buying one? I attended the first year you had it and wish i could get my hands on one for this years event. If so my cell phone is 530.414.3769.
    Cheers,

  • Scott Werner

There is NO buffet, great food but its an additional $10-15/head….

    • Rackhouse Pub

For $35 a ticket, we can’t afford to give 225 people a buffet. We will look at increasing the price next year to include a buffet. Thanks for your opinion.

      • Scott Werner

Sorry if I came across douchéy, I’m happy with the price/value but in your comments above describing the event you indicated there would be a buffet.

        • LH

Yes, I had seen the same thing when planning my evening Wednesday. I see that the description doesn’t indicate a buffet any longer, but it was there before. Totally understand about the pricing thing – It just would have been helpful to know about food one way or the other before going.

      • WT

I know I saw mention of the buffet when I purchased tickets. With all those strong beers available, some sort of snacks should be available. Increase the tickets by $5 and have roaming appetizers. Easy.

        • Rackhouse Pub

yes, we made a mistake between management and marketing, thanks for your advice. we’ll be more clear for our next festival. thanks for coming, sorry for the confusion.
